Witherspoon was last seen starring alongside Tom Hardy and Chris Pine in THIS MEANS WAR, directed by McG for Fox Studios. The story is about two hotshot spies who fall in love with the same woman, and end up in an epic battle against one another.

She has recently completed work on DEVIL’S KNOT directed by Atom Egoyan and will next be seen in Sony Pictures and Roadside Attractions film, MUD alongside Matthew McConaughey from award winning director Jeff Nichols.

Witherspoon began acting professionally at the age of 14, when she hoped to be an extra in Robert Mulligan’s coming-of-age drama, THE MAN IN THE MOON, and unexpectedly landed the lead. She received rave reviews for her iconic performance as "Tracy Flick" in Alexander Payne's ELECTION, and broke through to stardom with a trio of hits in LEGALLY BLONDE, SWEET HOME ALABAMA, and LEGALLY BLONDE II.

In 2006, she played June Carter Cash opposite Joaquin Phoenix in the 20th Century Fox bio-pic WALK THE LINE, and won the Academy Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role, as well as the BAFTA, Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, New York Film Critics Award, Broadcast Film Critics Award, People’s Choice Award and many others.
